Why Arsenal are targeting Everton striker as potential replacement for Cesc Fabregas
Everton are interested in signing Arsenal striker Cesc Fábregas after the Gunners were forced to sell him for £28m in the summer.
Fábrelas’ contract runs until 2021 and the Gunner are willing to offer him a new deal worth up to £100,000-a-week.
However, the striker’s agent Jorge Mendes has claimed Arsenal have made an approach for the 23-year-old to be reunited with Fabregos, who joined Everton in January 2013.
A deal is unlikely to be concluded for now as Fávregas remains under contract at the club until 2021.
However Everton have been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Newcastle and Tottenham, while Fácregas has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Manchester City.
